Heading to Bequia to sign out

We got going promptly at 10:30, having told Romeo we were leaving at that time. He had asked if we had any old rope and Rowan had said we may have a piece. We were just making our way through the reef when he came screaming up 5 minutes late, very pleased we had found a bit of rope for him. We had to motor for a while to get the angle right and then had a very good sail back to Bequia in between big squalls and dark skies.

Once we had anchored, we were straight into town, signing out at customs, from St Vincent and the Grenadines, feels very final. We do really like it here and we are slightly worried elsewhere will be rather restrictive. But it's definitely time to move on and do a bit more exploring. Once checked out we have 48 hrs to leave, so we plan to overnight up the north coast of St Vincent, making it possible not to have to do an overnight sail to St Lucia. We did a bit of provisioning and headed back to PolePole for an early night all ready for our departure in the morning.

Leaving the Cays

You get the size of this super yacht a lot better when you see it next to a normal sized sailing boat.

Better to be leaving the Cays in grey skies rather than sunshine

Back to our favourite haunt, St Margaret's beach, Bequia
